About The Art

Paper Prints
Paper prints are available as Limited-Edition Lithographic or as Open-Edition Giclée (pronounced “zhee-clay”) prints. Each is printed on high-quality archival paper with specialized inks lasting decades with proper care. To ensure the long life of your special, fine art print, do not expose it to direct sunlight, intense or continuous artificial light or high-humidity environments.

Limited-Edition Lithograph prints (item numbers ending in -PL) are printed by a traditional offset printing process with great care taken to match original paint colors. Only a limited number are printed and they are hand numbered and signed by the artist. Each limited-edition print is accompanied by a certificate of authenticity.

Open-Edition Giclée prints (item numbers ending in -PG) are printed using specialized digital ink-jet technology producing beautiful, like-the-original colors. They are printed one at a time as they are ordered. They are not limited to a certain quantity and are considered open-edition prints. Each giclée print is hand-signed and titled by the artist and has an embossed studio stamp applied to the border to guarantee its authenticity.

Canvas Prints
Giclée Prints on Canvas . . . All canvas prints are printed using digital Giclée ink-jet technology. They are limited-edition prints with a certificate of authenticity. Canvas prints are high-quality, fade-resistant reproductions of the original art using pigment (not dye-based) inks, producing a product lasting several decades with proper care.  Canvas prints are not stretched or framed. They are sent rolled up in a heavy-duty mailing tube to save shipping cost and ensure safe delivery. The savings from shipping by this method are greater than the cost of having a frame shop stretch them for you upon arrival.

Original Oil-on Canvas Paintings
These are actual Tom Fritz original oil paintings. Original paintings are stretched, framed and packed at the studio by the artist himself. Method of packing and shipping depends on the size, destination, etc. of each item. Most are packed in a double-double corrugated carton or a custom wood crate. Tom prefers UPS Overnight for the least handling possible or customers can arrange the shipping they feel most comfortable with.
