Toward the end of the Ford Flathead era, the cops and track racers all knew that if you were chasing a Ford, you’d better be in a Ford. Most law enforcement and emergency vehicle suppliers chose the Ford with its powerful V8, and with these specially built cars came high-performance exhaust systems. These manifolds are the single most effective way to increase horsepower through vastly improved exhaust flow, because the key is changing the stock single-exhaust to dual-exhaust. Our driver’s side manifolds offer a correctly angled outlet port allowing the pipe to connect toward the rear of the car instead of toward the front which originally connected the cross-over pipe creating a bottleneck in the restrictive single exhaust system. With enlarged passages and improved flow routes, these manifolds also reduce engine heat offering longer engine life even under extreme conditions. Ours are made using high-grade, precision cast iron, just like the rare, special order units of decades ago. Each includes block-off plate for RH exhaust manifold crossover pipe inlet.
