The Drake Team redesigned our original style
B-704220 seal for ultimate protection against body rot caused by moisture seeping under the outer seal edge. Ford’s original design was adequate, but it didn’t keep moisture from collecting between the rubber and body surface. That’s why many early Fords now have rust holes around the quarter windows which are usually invisible but cause interior water leaks. The new seal-lip not only keeps moisture out, but also gives a very nice visual accent to the window border.
